Headache Service
The Trust’s Headache service is led by experienced consultants with a wealth of experience helping patients experiencing persistent or severe headaches and migraines.
The headache service is part of the Neurology department.
The Specialist Headache Service offers review of diagnosis and management of difficult or refractory headache. Treatments such as botulinum toxin injections are available for patients with chronic migraine refractory to at least three preventative treatments with no medication overuse. Greater occipital nerve injections are also offered when appropriate.
