Spinal Service
The Trust's Spine Service provides outpatient specialist consultations in short appointments, inpatient care during day cases or longer stay in hospital, and a pre-operative counselling service.
The Spinal Service is part of the Trauma and Orthopaedics department.
The spinal team are three highly qualified and trained Spine Orthopaedic Consultants/Specialists, supported by two Specialist Spine Nurse Practitioners. We provide wide range of services including:
- Spinal Surgery (Discectomy and Cauda Equina Decompression, MSCC Debulking and Stabilization (Percutaneous/Open), Degenerative Spine Correction, Spinal Fusion, Disc Replacements, Vertebroplaty, Kyphoplasty, Sacroplasty And Biopsy, etc)
- Diagnostic Spinal Injections (Day Case/Radiology Units),
- Spinal pre-operative counselling (Spinal Pre-operative Information Class)
