Rheumatology Department

The Rheumatology Department provides in-patient, out-patient and day case care to patients with a wide range of rheumatological conditions.  The department also offers a blood monitoring service for patients who are receiving disease modifying drugs, to ensure safe and therapeutic ranges are achieved.

The approach to care in Rheumatology is a multi-disciplinary approach and we work closely with therapy services including physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

Joint clinics are carried out with other specialties for conditions such as osteoporosis and ultra-sound imaging in rheumatoid arthritis.
